Membership Types
Professional Membership
$40/year
Professional Members include persons serving as school counselors, school counselor supervisors, and counselor educators. The member must be employed as a school counselor, director, supervisor or coordinator of guidance (or equivalent title), and must devote fifty percent or more of his/her time to counseling or guidance activities.
Student Membership
$30/year
Student Members include persons enrolled in an accredited school counseling graduate program.
Retired Membership
$30/year
Retired Counselors wishing to maintain their professional ties may join the association as a member. Retired Members include persons who may been previously employed as a counselor, director, supervisor or coordinator of guidance (or equivalent title) and must have devoted fifty percent of his or her time to school counseling and guidance activities during the years of employment.
Affiliate Membership
$40/year
Affiliate Members are persons who support and advocate for professional school counselors. The member may be employed in an educational institution other than an elementary, middle, high, or post-secondary school and be responsible for the provision or improvement of professional counseling services; member may be employed in a state or national department of education; member may be employed in a private agency; member may be employed in a school or school system as a pupil personal worker, administrator, or in a supervising or instructional capacity.
